Gifted Babies Program (2 – 22 MONTHS)
THE FIRST YEAR IS CRICTICAL TO NEURAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE BRAIN

Developing IQ (intelligence), EQ (emotion) & LQ (language)

“Beaumont Gifted Babies” is an age-sensitive program specifically designed to develop the IQ, EQ and LQ (language quotient) of your baby from 2 months to 2 years of age. It is based on massive academic and experiential research on languages and the different stages of development of a baby's brain.

An explosion in the Brain...
There is an explosion of language cell synapses after birth, which peaks at the 8 th month. Vigorous weeding out of redundant cells brings the amount of synapses of a 4-year old child back to the level of a newborn baby. About 90% of the redundant synapses have been weeded out by adulthood. Adults are basically unable to recognise speech sounds that they have never encountered during childhood.

Babies are much better language learners than adults, not only because they have more language cell synapses, but also because they are only interested in the sounds of speech, not the meaning. This makes learning foreign languages easy because there are only 42 basic sounds in English and 33 in Putonghua, with 25 in common. That means there are only 8 basic sounds unique to Putonghua. Hong Kong adults find it very difficult to master Putonghua because they are unable to grasp those 8 basic sounds, a fact which demonstrates the importance of mastering the basic sounds of as many key languages as possible while the brain still has the capacity to handle it.

Believe it or not, there are less than 80 basic sounds in all the languages spoken by human beings on earth.

Synapse and Language...
A speech sound stimulates a language cell synapse in the brain to connect to the synapses of another language cell, creating a circuit that forms the basis of a memory unit. Rich stimulation over time leads to the formation of billions of neural circuits building up the baby's sound database as well as a voice recognition system for different languages.

Each language introduces a new element of stimulation and challenge. The complexity and amount of stimulation increase dramatically from 1 to 5 languages and there is strong experiential evidence that this significantly increases the baby's IQ, EQ & LQ. IQ measures sensitivity, analytical skill, power of association, problem solving skill, memory and response time. EQ focuses on the awareness of one's own feelings, emotion and ability to cope with these emotions. LQ is a new concept developed by Le Beaumont Language Centre based on the infant brain's sensitivity to basic speech sounds, voice recognition, memory skill and response time covering a range of the key languages in the world.

The multi-language immersion method recommended by Professor Nigel Reeves, OBE, advisor to Le Beaumont Language Centre, creates an interesting, challenging and interactive environment for the baby available only at Le Beaumont Language Centres where a series of age-sensitive training programs originally designed to develop language potential has turned out to be equally effective in developing the intelligence and emotion of a baby.

The Gifted Babies Program...
Research on early language development at Le Beaumont Language Centre over the past 4 years has led to new breakthroughs in early childhood development culminating in the launch of the Gifted Babies Program to help develop the IQ, EQ and LQ of your new born child.

In this program, graduate teachers from 5 countries brought in their songs, rhymes, culture and design playgroups to challenge and stimulate your baby's brain. Babies participate for 45 minutes each weekday in activities conducted in the target language. The fee is only $ 6,000 a month. The benefits to your baby will last for life and be beyond measure.

At 6 months, babies can discern the basic sounds of most languages, but lose this skill by 1 year, once they specialize in a native tongue.
