This is a course for children to learn more Chinese characters and to pick up authentic Putonghua pronunciation from a Beijing native speaker. An early introduction to Chinese poetry is also a life-long enjoyment. This program has been very popular among parents and children. In children’s prospective, teaching poems that relevant to children’s day-to-day life can benefit them in absorbing and memorizing a number of new characters.

Goal

This course provides your child a fun learning environment where he/she can learn recognizing simple Chinese words, and enjoy the rhyme found in Chinese poems. Through music, crafts and gestures, your children will build up skills in his written as well as oral skills in Putonghua.

8 poems will be taught in one session, with four months each. In each session, your child will be able to learn around 150 Chinese words from the poems he learns in classes. Your child will also be able to break down characters into parts. E.g. “Spring” in Chinese is formed by the contribution of “Three” and “Human”.
