Chinese Oral & Writing (6-9yrs, 10-14yrs)

Enchance your children's writing and oral skills

Teachers will plan ahead the themes, activities and teaching material before each lesson. In this programme, your children will practice their Chinese writing through small-group activities, discussion and research. It helps enhance your children’s writing skills as well as listen skills. This is an intensive programme to beef up the phonics, oral and written skills of students.

Small group approach

Classes are normally held in small groups of 4 to 8 students so that the teacher is able to give attention to each and every student. More difficult challenges will be given to students with higher proficiency in the language. Native Putonghua teachers will conduct Putonghua classes.

Activity-based approach

The teacher will prepare a theme for each session. Under the guidance of the native speaker, members will discuss the theme, generate ideas, and learn how to organize their thoughts. Students have a chance to play a word game or two to sustain their interests. They are then asked to put their ideas in writing, either in the form of an exercise sheet, or in the form of an essay. Students are trained how to review their own passage and do some self-correction.
